When you start eating clean, it may be easy to think that you have to sacrifice eating sweets. Completely eliminating sweets can leave those with a sweet tooth feeling bereft or lead to binge eating that entire pint of ice-cream that’s in the freezer. Well, what if you had a deliciously sweet snack that isn’t bad for you? Yes, it exists! Oatmeal protein balls are jam packed with protein and enough sweetness to curb the dreaded sweet tooth. Best of all, they are quick and easy to make. So, without further ado here’s the recipe:
Prep Time: 10 min
Wait time: 2 Hours
– 1 cup of raw oats
– ½ cups of chopped almonds
– ½ cup of natural peanut butter
– ½ cup of chocolate chips of choice
– ½ cup of honey
– 1 tsp of vanilla extract
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until it is a sticky dough consistency. Roll dough into small 1 inch balls and place on a cookie sheet. Cover with aluminum foil and place in freezer for 2 hours. After 2 hours, remove from freezer and enjoy!
